Momo Art Mart x Happy Cap Studio

2025 — illustration / merchandise / collaboration

About

Momo Art Mart is an independent artist market and Happy Cap Studio is a photobooth studio, both located in Sydney. As part of promotions for the art market in November 2025, my illustrations were chosen to be featured in the photobooths for that month.

Goal

Deliverables for this project included two frame designs and a thumbnail (which would serve as a button in the photobooth software). The theme was based on the art market’s theme: theme parks and having fun.

The Frames

Momo Art Mart is known for fruit motifs, so my main inspiration was The Very Hungry Caterpillar! I imagined this well-known storybook as a rollercoaster, which became the focus of my final designs.

The standard vertical photostrip is a 2D illustration featuring only the caterpillar rollercoaster. The tracks wrap around each photo, and speech bubbles pop out as if the photobooth users are on the ride.

The larger photo frame is an illustration with an isometric perspective, reminiscent of a favourite childhood game, Rollercoaster Tycoon.

And lastly, the thumbnail combines elements of both frames — a sneakpeek of what’s to come.
